PKLeaks 31.0: Sialkot lynching: A preamble of what the future holds

We are getting further isolated and cornered in world politics, thanks to our obsession to blasphemy and the agenda of our administration to support outfits like Tehrik-e-Labbaik and the Taliban.
The incident of Sri Lankan factory manager who was beaten to death and set ablaze by a mob who accused him of blasphemy, does not augur well for the future of our country, politically or economically.
History of our nation is rife with such incidents. Recently, thousands of people torched a police station in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province over the issue of a man accused of burning the Koran. In April 2017 an angry mob lynched university student Mashal Khan when he was accused of posting blasphemous content online. A Christian couple was lynched then burnt in a kiln in Punjab in 2014 after being falsely accused of desecrating the Koran.
However, the tragedy is that now the stage is being taken over by outfits like Tehrik e Labbaik, which even successfully pressurised the government to lift its ban. The rise of the TLP like outfits has normalised murder over blasphemy allegations. In one of the videos from the scene in Sialkot, two of the instigators of the violence refer to TLP’s slogans to justify their actions against Diyawadana.
The Generals who had fostered TLP as a symbol of fear and brought them into the political arena to achieve their own objectives against the government are now paying the price. What were once random incidents are now becoming an epidemic.
Whether we like it or not, the fact is that as a country we are falling to the hands of organisations like the Taliban and Tehrik e Labbaik, with the Army and government fighting each other on every issue.
No so far from now, our PM will come and admit...."" I have nothing to offer....but blood, toil, tears and death.....""
