PKLEAKS 19.0: NADRA Deputy Director illegally detained: Minority Persecution continues

The saga of minority persecution in our country has reached new heights by the illegal detention of Mr.Gouri Shanker(Deputy Director-Operations). The grounds of his detention, still being unknown and undisclosed, is perceived as an act of warning against those officers in the country who speak out against oppression and exploitation of minorities. The mistrust on the officers belonging to minority classes has snowballed to a situation, where they are kept under constant surveillance by the ISI.

It is a matter of fact that violence and atrocities against minorities(religious and ethnical) has been a norm in our country. The growing influence of ISI in the present dispensation is adding fuel to the fire. The sentiments of hatred and intolerance are pumped to the minds of the people to divert attention from a crashing economy. The atrocities have crossed the level, where in we are unable to speak for our brothers and sisters in Indian occupied Kashmir. India tactfully uses the anti-minority incidents in Pakistan to its advantage and successfully uses them to corner and isolate our country in the international arena.

While we sympathise with Mr.Gouri Shanker and his family, it is a harsh reality that many more senior bureaucrats and officers are on the line, with the same fate.
