Welcome to "PKLEAKS_23.0"......
Today we bring forward to avid readers our 23rd leak article, again throwing light on our guardians and so called acutely brave Pak Army.
It is one of our many pieces carried out on state of affairs in our Army. This time, it's about their yet to be released New Housing Policy, which is supposed to be effective from January 01, 2024.
The irony to watch out for here is, reeling under a financial crunch, our prime minister's official residence in Islamabad, itself has now been put up for rent, as part of his much hyped
austerity measures.
But the said policy, as expected, is offering a bundle of perks (apartments and plots) to our gallant Army Officers.
The cardinal points of ponderance from the so called Housing Policy are as under:
a) The "1st benefit" to remain valid as per existing rules.
b) The so-called "2nd benefit" has been done away with and the following % of terminal payment of apartment/flat would be given by Army, as per the ranks in lieu of this benefit:-
    1) Captain/Major: 30 Percent
    2) Lt. Colonel: 40 Percent
    3) Colonel & Brigadier: 50 Percent
Also, Colonels & Brigadiers would be given their flats on 23/25 years completion of service and the Terminal payment to be asked on retirement.
c) In lieu of "3rd benefit", an officer of the rank of
    1) Colonel, would be provided one Kanal residential plot in Lahore/Karachi.
    2) Brigadier would be provided 4 Marla commercial plot in Lahore/Karachi.
d) Officers in the ranks from Captain to Brigadier, would be allotted a four bedroom apartment/flat. Till Lt. Colonel, the apartment/flat would be allotted as per their choice.
To summarize, the so-called New Housing Policy ends up with our Army Officers accruing following benefits, during and after serving our nation:
    1) Upto the rank of Lt. Colonel: One 4 Bed Room Apartment, 1 Kanal Plot.
    2) Colonel: One 4 Bed Room Apartment, two 1 Kanal Plots.
    3) Brigadier: One 4 Bed Room Apartment, one 1 Kanal Plot, one 4 Marla Commercial Plot.
This is the clear case of our non-elected figures, i.e., the military officers, already siphoning off public funds and taxpayers' money and continuing doing so for generations to come.
