Welcome to "PKLEAKS_32.0"......
It is a matter of fact that life has become difficult for our citizens, mainly because of a failed economy, on the verge of a major crash and a puppet government ruling the country.
But for some of us, it has become so pathetic that they are forced to protest for their basic livelihood issues like drinking water/sanitation.
We wish to draw our readers attention to the Gwadar protests, which witnessed participation of all classes of the society including women, children and youngsters.
The irony is that such an inclusive protest excluded mainstream political parties altogether.
It was astonishing to find the protests getting led by a Jamaat-i-Islami leader, Maulana Hidayatur Rehman who had no electoral or political history.
The protests mark the extent of fissure between the political parties and the masses.
When left with no one take up their cause, it is natural for the religious leaders to fill up the void and drive the public sentiments as per their wish.
The Gwadar Protests appear to be a model to be replicated in many other parts of our country in the years to come.
After all, with the army and political parties working hand in glove, it won't be a surprise, if more and more religious leaders follow the path of Maulana Hidayatur Rehman as the agitation leaders.
