PKLeaks 35.0: Are we going to lose Balochistan? Another Bangladesh in making?

The Balochistan insurgency and the strained relationship between our government and people of Balochistan is not a new episode. However, things have taken an unusual turn recently, wherein the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) started indulging in frequent terrorist attacks, the latest one resulting in the death of seven of our solidiers.

The success of Taliban in Afghanistan certainly contributed to the resurgence of Balochistan Liberation Army, thanks to the ISI's Taliban fiasco. As previously warned in one of our leaks, the failed governance has let our country down, with the country falling into the hands of several terror outfits including the Pak Taliban.

The very fact of BLA's leadership stationed safely in Pak-Afghanistan Border villages is an open secret. The question is whether our Army/ISI has the courage and clout to stand upto the Taliban, ensuring a clean-up. The answer, unfortunately is a resounding "NO".

The association of several retired Army Officers with BLA speaks a lot about the insider support, the organisation holds. It also finds partners in outfits like Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), in fighting against the army. After all, enemy's enemy is a friend.

Our government still appears blind in addressing the issue. Barring the usual reflex action of blaming neighbouring countries, it has not taken any tangible measure.

It has been Fifty long years since our country first got handicapped. Perhaps we may lose another vital organ this year.

History obviously repeats. Certainly for those, who never try to learn from past mistakes.
