PKLEAKS 14.0: Days Counted For Sikandar Raja : Our Beloved Chief Election Commissioner

Today, Let us bring to you the ISI Plan, which is running behind the scenes, aimed to remove our professionally competent and morally upright Chief Election Commissioner, Mr. Sikandar Raja.

The strained relationship between CEC and our PM, is widely known in public and well documented. Infact, his very appointment to the post of CEC turned out to be a surprise to many, considering his adherence to high level of professional ethics and objectivity. But, as we all know, throwing surprises has become the norm than exception for our PM, who naturally proceeded with his appointment.

It was a relationship which was meant to be broken, anytime, anyday. Our PM wants all constitutional functionaries to work as domestic helps, as per the whims and fancies of ruling dispenation. Naturally, Mr.Sikandar Raja turned out to be the "the most right man in the most wrong place".

Now that the PM has decided the relationship to be broken, he has sought help of none other than the ISI, the one with great expertise and experience in 'making and breaking' things, most often in 'breaking', perhaps.

Now, what would be the allegations and grounds for the judicial reference against the CEC??

Despite several rounds of brainstorming, ISI could not come up with anything solid, except the age old allegation against the CEC, his Canadian Citizenship. ISI which ran short of concrete reasons, has reached the conclusion that he and his family being declared Canadian Nationals, cannot retain the constitutional post of the CEC. The ISI went on to collect his property details, even regarding his apartment behind Serena Hotel in Islamabad, apart from official houses allotted to him and his wife.

You might wonder, whether this allegation existed against Mr.Sikandar, while he was appointed unanimously for the post.

Yes, Ofcourse. It did not matter then.

But, now that Mr. Sikandar has shown his spine, the citizenship issue does matter.

The government being adamant in making institutions twist, bend and crawl as per their vested interests, just need a reason to remove honest men like our CEC, no matter however "silly", the grounds could be. Had it not been Canadian National issue, it would have been something else. Even his childhood sins may prove costly for Mr.Sikandar in that case, as ISI would have even gone to that extreme for his removal.

Now that the stage is set for judicial reference, days seem counted for our CEC. Having read this leak, you may also feel the clock ticking louder, saying it is 'time up' for citizens to raise their voice. Perhaps, much louder than ever in the history of independent Pakistan.......
